The last month has been pretty hectic for our video production crew with several jobs on the go including a full day of filming in Auckland for Sovereign Insurance on the same day as having to video a full day seminar in Wellington for Pharmac – plus the commencement of filming of a long short film!
A full days filming for Pharmac covered 7 different presentation topics complete with Powerpoint slides. The material was a very popular topic for the Pharmac Seminars and so to allow the persons who were unable to attend to still benefit from the presentations we were brought in to video the event. After filming, the material was quickly edited, slides inserted and the completed video uploaded onto our dropbox for the client to upload for distribution.
A key requirement with presentation videos is to ensure the material is engaging for a online video viewer. As a tendered supplier to Pharmac, the team at Digital Productions are recognised as being able to provide the filming and editing skill set to ensure a quality final production is always delivered.
With Sovereign Insurance, this recent project was to cover off their financial year end achievements with a series of internal interviews and shout outs from different department heads and staff. Everyone in the video told of a personal highlight and these interviews were edited together with a time lapse to provide a summary of the organisations achievements.
The final video edit was played both on their internal big screen and distributed by intranet.
August also saw the commencement of filming for the creative and documentary division of Digital Productions – Meat and Three Veg Productions. On August 23rd filming commenced for the long short film – The Dinner Party. Written by Anthony Hurst the film is also his film Directing debut and cast includes “Step Dave’s” Jono Kenyon, Emily Keddell as the lead and Bruce Hopkins as want-to-be celebrity chef Charles Barley.
These first scenes were filmed in the kitchens of Two Feijoas in Silverdale and it turned out to be a fantastic set.
Set in a boutique restaurant, this comical macabre drama is set to be completed in November 2014.
